Cycling and water became some of the easiest ways for us to travel actively as a family in Poland.
You don’t need huge distances, difficult routes or ambitious plans. The best days usually happen at a slower pace — with snack breaks, swimming spots, playgrounds, forests and plenty of time to stop along the way.
These are some of our favorite family cycling routes and waterside escapes in Poland:
Cycling With Kids Around Zegrze Lake Near Warsaw
Velo Czorsztyn — One of Poland’s Most Beautiful Lake Cycling Routes
From Mielno to Kołobrzeg — A Baltic Coast Family Bike Adventure
Along the Vistula River With a Bike Trailer in Warsaw
What we love most about traveling by bike is the sense of freedom it gives children. The route becomes part of the adventure itself, not only the way to get somewhere.
Most of the places we describe here are quieter, slower and much closer to nature than typical tourist destinations — which is exactly why we keep returning to them.
